We’re glad you’ve chosen to learn more about Washington Baptist Church. We’re a traditional Southern Baptist Church. We focus on exalting Christ in worship, discipleship, missions and ministry. And we focus on serving God’s people and seeking the lost. Preaching and teaching the Bible is a focal point of our ministry and we have Bible study opportunities for all ages.

We have golf carts to assist anyone needing help into the building from the parking lot.
In our vestibule, you can find our weekly bulletin and a welcome packet with valuable information about our church. Ushers will be present to answer any questions or direct you in any way necessary.
Directions will be given to families needing to register your children for nursery and Sunday school. |

Our Prayer
Our prayer for you is that as walk through the doors of our foyer, you will be greeted by not just a friendly smile, but by the love of Jesus Christ. That as you enter the doors of our sanctuary you will not only find a comfortable seat, but you will sit in the presence of the Lord…. that as you hear our musicians and singers, you will not only join in singing, but you will join in true worship & praise. That as the pastor preaches you will not only hear a message, but you will hear the Living Word anointed by the Holy Spirit…that as you join in prayer you agree not only with the congregation, but you talk to the Father…that as you spend time with us you experience not only a structured service, but a service structured and led by the Holy Spirit. To sum it up, our desire for your visit to WBC is expressed by John 12:21.
What To Expect
When you arrive, you will be greeted by people who are genuinely happy to see you. Our service begins with engaging, live worship through music, followed by an expository message from the Bible. This means that we actually teach from the Bible, helping you to understand it and apply it to your life. All of this takes place in a casual friendly environment where everyone is welcome, and everyone can belong.
What about my kids?While a WBC, your child will experience engaging, age-appropriate teaching, worship and activities, all developed to point your child toward a daily relationship with Christ. Find out more about our kids programs here.
How can I meet new people?There are lots of ways to meet new people at WBC. You can join a Sunday School class or check out our bulletin board for opportunities to get involved. We also have Bible study groups meeting at various times. |
What should I wear?We encourage people to come as they are and to be comfortable. God is more concerned with our heart than our outward appearance. Most people dress casually at WBC.
